The Epik project was founded in 2012 as a response to the horrific reality of people being bought and sold for sex against their will.
Since then, EPIK has become a national leader in the anti-trafficking movement. To date they have disrupted over 40,000 attempts by men intent on purchasing another human being for sex and are now poised to reach 100,000 in 2017.
What began in Portland has spread to cities across the country. They have done a lot with a little. Find out more and how you can help end the demand at www.epikproject.org .
One Life is a ministry of Westside Family Church dedicated to caring for orphans and the most vulnerable children in our global community. For the past 3 years we have sponsored a little girl in India named Lavanya Podili. She is in 10 years old, studying the 5th grade and lives at Peace Children's Home. It has been fun to get her pictures and letters over the years and learn more about her. She has consistently said that she dreams of being a doctor. Contributing to the boys and girls club started by the inspiration from my sister's mother-n- law Judy Eller who was a faithful prayer warrior. After she passed away the idea of using her vast collection of jewelry to make prayer boxes and giving back to the organization she was so very passionate about, seemed like a fitting tribute to her. The Boys and Girls club is an amazing organization that provides help with the physical and emotional needs as well as educational support, activities and opportunities for young people through after-school programs. It is a great place to give back. Their motto is, "To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens." Our Love People Prayer Boxes are Altoid mint boxes that are transformed into a unique prayer tool for people to, let go of their worries, anxiety, hurts and fears. A place to write it down, let it go, and let God do the rest. They are each one of a kind creations and are currently only sold locally at By B! Boutique.
